Logistics Coordinator

Overview

Univar Solutions is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join its Dublin team. In this role, you will report to the Logistics Manager and help keep day-to-day logistics operations running smoothly through route planning, coordination, and strong administrative support.

What the role involves

• Deliver reliable administration and accurate records for the logistics function.
• Plan fleet movements and contracted haulage in a way that supports service levels, vehicle use, and cost control.
• Maximise vehicle utilisation while planning routes and managing importing/exporting activities for contracted transport.
• Coordinate contracted haulage and look for opportunities to reduce transport costs wherever possible.
• Make sure transport activities comply with legal requirements for road, sea, and air movement, as well as quality, EHS, insurance, GDP, and food safety standards.
• Log accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with company procedures and safety notices.
• Maintain a tidy and organised logistics area, including workstations and vehicles.
• Handle purchase and expense returns when needed.
• Confirm that dispatched and received orders are delivered within the required timeframe.
• Ensure fleet servicing and maintenance are completed as scheduled.

What they are looking for

The ideal candidate will bring solid IT skills, strong spoken and written communication, and the ability to work through established processes accurately. You should be able to prioritise tasks well, stay focused on detail, and work effectively as part of a team. IMDG training would be an added advantage.
