Role summary
We are looking for an accomplished logistics leader to take ownership of the Canada logistics function, covering import and export, warehousing, transport, and distribution. The position is central to keeping operations smooth, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the needs of the business and its maisons. The selected person will be expected to deliver responsive, proactive, flexible, and efficient service that consistently meets or exceeds internal benchmarks.
Warehouse operations
- Lead the planning and optimization of inventory activities, while putting strong controls in place to reduce losses and shrinkage.
- Keep goods moving efficiently through the warehouse and improve processes to boost productivity.
- Build a structure for the warehouse team that can adapt to changing operational demands and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards, including correct handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Track warehouse KPIs and volume patterns to support ongoing performance improvement.
Customs and compliance
- Oversee customs pre-clearance and clearance activities so goods move in a timely and compliant manner.
- Ensure duty payments are handled accurately and manage duty drawback activities to help control costs.
- Maintain correct commodity code setup and uploads to support regulatory compliance.
Transportation and distribution
- Design and implement transportation solutions that fit business needs and support cost efficiency.
- Arrange premium last-mile delivery and responsive ad hoc transport services for Maison requirements.
- Handle transportation claims and incidents and introduce preventive actions where needed.
- Review transportation lead times and costs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage carriers closely to maintain strong service levels, cost control, and healthy vendor partnerships.
Leadership and operations
- Drive continuous improvement by developing creative, sustainable, and compliant logistics solutions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 17 logistics professionals, with a focus on hiring, retention, and performance.
- Create reporting tools that help monitor logistics activity and KPIs and turn data into actionable insights.
- Prepare quarterly Swiss SOX reporting and annual duty reports accurately and on time.
- Run logistics activities within approved budgets and look for savings opportunities.
- Support annual budgeting and build business cases for logistics investments and initiatives.
- Manage inventory audits, reconciliations, and documentation so records are ready for review.
Qualifications
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline, along with 8 to 10 years of progressive logistics experience, including substantial time in a leadership capacity. Candidates should bring a history of guiding large teams and improving performance in fast-paced settings.
Skills and abilities
Strong leadership, team development, and people management skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be a confident problem solver who can prioritize effectively, juggle multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners. Deep familiarity with Canadian customs, warehousing, and transportation practices is important, as is advanced capability with Microsoft Office and SAP. Strong analytical thinking, the ability to spot trends in data, and a strategic, continuous-improvement mindset are also required. French language skills are considered an asset.

Compensation
