Machine Learning Researcher

Overview

This is a contract-based remote role for a Machine Learning Researcher in Canada. The position requires a flexible commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week and focuses on advanced research in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact research work across machine learning and AI topics.
• Build, test, and assess modern deep learning models using tools such as TensorFlow.
• Work alongside engineering teams to turn research results into practical, scalable implementations.
• Share research outcomes through publications and broader contributions to the AI/ML research community.
• Stay current with new developments in the field to support ongoing innovation.
• Prepare clear documentation of methods, experiments, and findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Prior experience planning and executing research initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Hands-on knowledge of deep learning libraries and frameworks, particularly TensorFlow.
• Strong command of Python for rapid prototyping and algorithm work.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to document research clearly and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and produce meaningful results in a remote environment.
