Overview
This is a contract-based remote role for a Machine Learning Researcher in Canada. The position requires a flexible commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week and focuses on advanced research in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive high-impact research work across machine learning and AI topics.
- Build, test, and assess modern deep learning models using tools such as TensorFlow.
- Work alongside engineering teams to turn research results into practical, scalable implementations.
- Share research outcomes through publications and broader contributions to the AI/ML research community.
- Stay current with new developments in the field to support ongoing innovation.
- Prepare clear documentation of methods, experiments, and findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Prior experience planning and executing research initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Hands-on knowledge of deep learning libraries and frameworks, particularly TensorFlow.
- Strong command of Python for rapid prototyping and algorithm work.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to document research clearly and collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and produce meaningful results in a remote environment.
