About the Role
Lamar Development is expanding into Germany and is hiring a founding Country Director to lead that market entry. The company is a design-focused luxury real estate group known for working with leading architects and delivering standout projects across Europe and Dubai. This role is built for someone who wants to create a business from the ground up rather than manage an existing structure.
This is a startup-style leadership position inside a premium brand. You will not inherit a team or an established playbook; instead, you will be given a serious mandate, strong backing, and an equity opportunity tied to the growth you help create.
The long-term path is clear: over roughly 2 to 3 years, the right person can move into a partner role with a 20% stake in the German business. The compensation model is designed for someone confident in their ability to build value and share in the upside.
What You Will Be Doing
- Direct Lamar Development’s launch and growth in Germany, covering strategy, relationship building, deal sourcing, and execution.
- Create and maintain a strong network across investors, developers, banks, funds, and institutional partners.
- Identify, assess, and structure real estate investment opportunities throughout Germany.
- Take ownership of the full transaction process, including financial analysis, legal coordination, negotiations, and closing.
- Act as a senior representative for Lamar with institutional investors and strategic partners.
- Travel regularly to Madrid to stay aligned with group leadership and the wider European team.
- Set up and operate the German business independently in an environment that combines entrepreneurial freedom with a luxury brand platform.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in real estate investment, banking, finance consulting, real estate funds, or institutional investment.
- Proven deal exposure with an understanding of financials, legal processes, and how to move transactions to completion.
- An established network in Germany across investors, developers, lenders, and institutional contacts.
- Fluency in German and strong command of English, both of which are essential.
- Solid understanding of the real estate market, whether residential, commercial, or development-focused.
- An entrepreneurial approach with the ability to solve problems, set things up, and execute without close supervision.
- High motivation, strong energy, and a positive presence that elevates the room.
- Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to read people and situations well.

Lamar Development is especially interested in candidates from real estate investment, private banking, finance consulting, real estate funds, institutional investing, investment associate roles ready for a step up, other development companies, or startup and market-entry environments.
Compensation and Structure
The role offers a consulting arrangement with a monthly retainer of €6,000 as an independent contractor, which means no social security contributions and no employment taxes.
There is also an alternative base salary structure ranging from €90,000 to €130,000, depending on experience and the preferred setup.
In addition, there is a performance bonus of 20% cash, paid only when the business generates revenue. The model is explicitly tied to results.
The equity component includes a 20% share in the German business, intended to increase as the operation grows.
The partner track is expected to develop over 2 to 3 years for the right individual.
The first-year goal is to build toward a revenue contribution that supports and validates the equity position, with a long-term target of more than €250,000 in annual contribution.
