Material Controller

Role overview

Avantor is hiring a Material Controller for its Athlone site on a full-time, on-site basis. The role sits in a laboratory-linked setting and supports scientific work by keeping materials moving efficiently so customer needs are met without disruption.

What the role involves

• Manage stock handling activities in line with GMP requirements.
• Keep inventory information accurate and make sure replenishment happens on time.
• Support lab operations by maintaining the right material availability and stock balance.
• Raise and follow up on urgent or ad-hoc material needs, including coordination with suppliers.
• Use equipment safely and comply with all site rules and regulatory expectations.
• Carry out day-to-day administrative work connected to inventory control and compliance.

What Avantor is looking for

• Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification such as GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A stable work background in warehousing, inventory, retail, hospitality, or a similar environment.
• A positive approach, strong commitment to work, and familiarity with basic warehouse terms and practices.
• Preferred computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for travel to Athlone.
