Job description
Role overview
This position is based in a locally owned store that supports health, beauty, and convenience services in the community. The focus of the job is to keep merchandise organized, displays appealing, and customers at the center of store operations.
Key duties
- Keep backroom stock organized and follow backroom inventory management practices.
- Use PDT and MMS systems to complete daily work tasks.
- Handle exit strategy and product returns when assigned.
- Maintain strong knowledge of assigned product areas, including stock levels, placement, and expiry dates.
- Help keep store presentation aligned with store image and current trends.
- Make sure product displays are customer-friendly and easy to shop.
- Receive incoming merchandise according to established receiving procedures.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly backroom following organization standards.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed for receiving and returning goods.
- Support the Front Store Manager and Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining quality and operational standards.
- Present a clean and professional appearance that follows the uniform policy and dress code.
- Greet and assist customers in the aisles when needed.
- Follow health and safety rules, store standards, and loss prevention procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and working style
- Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making ability.
- Good efficiency, organization, and attention to neatness.
- Comfortable adapting to changing situations on the sales floor.
- Accuracy and speed in customer order processing, if cash duties apply.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash registers.
- Ability to keep records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to work independently.
Working conditions
- Flexible scheduling is required, including possible evening and weekend shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.

Compensation
The hiring range is $17.60 to $20.85 per hour. Pay may vary based on experience, knowledge, and the geographic location of the role.
