Job description

Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing assigned resources, teams, departments, and/or sites so operational targets are consistently achieved. The role requires ensuring that processes and procedures are carried out on time, accurately, and in alignment with business objectives and applicable regulatory standards. The scope of responsibility may extend within a single country, across multiple countries, or across regions.

Operational Scope

The role may cover any combination of the following functions: ramp and air operations, audits and procedures, gateway and hub activities, feeder and linehaul movement, cross-border and in-country transport, operations support, on-road operations, handling, property and facilities, dispatch, service assurance, network control, transport scheduling, customer service, contract and sourcing management, special services, weight and balance, airline and lift management, hub control centre, clearance and brokerage, export controls, dangerous goods, vendor coordination, manifesting, flight operations, quality improvement, aircraft handling, pickup and delivery, reporting, and related administrative support.

Key Expectations

The manager is expected to lead people and resources effectively, improve productivity and yield, support redesign and change initiatives, and maintain strong oversight of budgets, costs, vendors, and contracts. The role also requires close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, strong analysis and reporting, and a safety-first approach that includes incident reporting and root-cause review.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have Grade 12 education and demonstrate strong leadership, team motivation, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities. The position also calls for sound problem-solving, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and the confidence to make data-informed decisions in a fast-moving environment.
