Role Overview
Sight360 is committed to protecting one of the most valuable human senses—vision. The organization is looking for a caring, highly organized Ophthalmic Scribe to assist physicians and contribute to a smooth, positive experience for patients in a busy clinical setting.
Position Summary
In this role, you will support the clinical team by preparing patients and examination rooms, carrying out diagnostic tests, recording patient encounters as they happen, and helping keep patient care and clinic operations running efficiently. Depending on business needs, the role may require travel between clinic sites and occasional overtime.
Key Duties
- Carry out and record eye-related testing such as refractions, lensometry, tonometry, visual field testing, OCT scans, topography, Amsler grid checks, muscle assessments, pupil examinations, and other similar diagnostics.
- Get patients ready for their appointments and help maintain steady patient movement through the clinic.
- Document visits accurately, including treatment plans and conversations between the physician and patient.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures as needed.
- Set up exam rooms, follow sterile procedures, and help coordinate diagnostic and surgical workflow.
- Relay physician guidance to patients and referring providers clearly.
- Support patient phone calls, pharmacy-related requests, and other general clinical tasks.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience working as an ophthalmic scribe
- Ability to use an electronic health record system
- Working familiarity with ophthalmic terminology, medication terminology, related equipment, and CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Basic understanding of ocular anatomy
- Certification is preferred, though not mandatory
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Consistent quality of work demonstrated through prior performance or achievements
- Excellent spoken, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong organization skills and comfort working to tight deadlines
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
Additional Information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Sun City, FL. Travel between clinic locations and overtime may be needed depending on operational requirements.
