About the role

This opportunity sits within a major mixed-use programme in a remote setting, where you will work with a strong Mace team and collaborate with leading architects and international consultants. The scope covers substantial infrastructure and built assets, delivered at pace through a hands-on project and construction management model. The role is well suited to someone who has led both main and subcontract packages on complex programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from the earliest stage through to final handover, making sure delivery stays on schedule, within budget, and in line with client expectations.
• Embed a strong safety-first mindset across all phases of the work, with health, safety, and wellbeing treated as core priorities.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep delivery aligned and efficient.
• Offer specialist guidance and wider programme support to strengthen outcomes across Mace projects.
• Oversee design, procurement, and construction planning, including sequencing and staging, so key milestones are achieved.
• Spot potential risks, issues, and constraints early and put corrective or recovery actions in place.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, commercial, and logistics teams to ensure packages are delivered smoothly.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and use influencing and negotiation skills to support successful delivery.
• Encourage innovation and continuous improvement through best practice, digital tools, and sustainability-focused methods.
• Lead and grow project teams while promoting accountability, high performance, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Support the transition to net zero carbon by helping identify, manage, and reduce carbon emissions associated with the delivery of the work.

Candidate profile

• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
• You should bring proven experience as a Package Lead or Senior Project Manager on large infrastructure or mixed-use programmes.
• Strong experience in utilities and infrastructure delivery is important, ideally including district cooling, chiller plants, generator farms, power systems, water assets, and wastewater assets.
• You need practical experience in design management, procurement, and on-site delivery.
• The role calls for someone who can work effectively on remote or logistically complex projects in the Middle East.
• Overall industry experience should be 15+ years.
• Middle East project experience is preferred, along with the ability to adapt to changing requirements in remote environments.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, QA/QC, construction methods, permits, sequencing, and multidisciplinary coordination is expected.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across varied teams are essential.
• You must meet the visa requirements for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant experience on high-value projects/programmes within a project management consultancy environment for immigration and client approval.
