Job description
Role overview
We’re looking for a Pest Escalation Support specialist to join the Store Central Operations team and act as the main point of contact for pest control-related resolutions. This is a permanent, full-time position that involves travel across the South West region, including possible overnight stays. The role reports to the Pest Operations Manager.
This opportunity will suit someone with experience in field-based or head office pest control work. Candidates from a Health & Safety background who have had exposure to pest control may also be a good fit. Because the role involves regular travel and overnight trips, flexibility is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee pest control accounts handled by third-party suppliers.
- Review reports and supporting data to spot emerging concerns.
- Evaluate business risks and decide on the most urgent actions.
- Monitor spending carefully and investigate any inconsistencies.
- Carry out pest control inspections and manage escalations across stores.
- Share findings, risks, and updates with store teams and internal management.
What we’re looking for
- RSPH/BPCA qualification at Level 3, or Field Biologist status preferred.
- Background in pest control, or in Health & Safety with relevant pest control exposure.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to act quickly and make sound decisions.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience building effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Good IT skills, particularly in Excel, plus the ability to analyse data.
Additional details
This is a field-based position and a company car will be provided, so a full UK driving licence is required.
We offer a competitive benefits package that includes in-store discounts and savings with a broad range of retail and hospitality partners.
The organisation is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace for all colleagues.
