Role summary
The Plant Manager will be responsible for guiding a cement manufacturing facility toward safe, dependable, cost-efficient, and fully compliant performance, while also delivering on production, quality, and financial goals. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The ideal candidate is a strong and effective leader with a demonstrated record of improving safety, output, equipment reliability, cost results, and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all plant functions, including production, maintenance, quality, and process operations.
- Champion safe working practices, environmental compliance, and a culture of operational excellence.
- Deliver against targets for production volume, operating cost, product quality, and budget adherence.
- Administer plant budgets, lead capital initiatives, and implement cost-reduction measures.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, support succession planning, and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure daily operations and leadership practices remain aligned with company values and business priorities.
- Reinforce UNA culture values through leadership behavior, collaboration, and strong performance discipline.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Overall experience of 10 to 15 years, with at least 10 years in leadership positions.
- Background in cement, mining, aggregates, lime, steel, or another comparable heavy-industry setting.
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations, budgeting, plant maintenance, operations, and SAP.
Reporting line
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
