Main Duties of the Job
As a Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of outstanding patient care. Your daily duties will involve safely and compassionately transporting patients across the hospital site using appropriate mobility aids. You will also be responsible for moving equipment and furniture between departments to ensure operational efficiency, and for collecting and delivering vital supplies and samples to support patient care activities. Additionally, you will handle postal and messenger duties to facilitate inter-departmental communication, and manage the collection and disposal of waste to maintain a clean and safe environment. A key aspect of this role is responding calmly and effectively to emergency situations.

Working Hours and Flexibility
This is a full-time position requiring up to 37.5 hours per week, with work scheduled on a rota basis that includes nights and weekends. Pay enhancements will be provided for unsociable hours, acknowledging the commitment and nature of the work.
