Preschool Cook

About the Role

We are looking to add a Preschool Cook to a lively childcare environment in Northern Region, Uganda. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing wholesome meals for young children and has prior exposure to childcare, daycare, or early childhood education settings. The role is being filled immediately.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare healthy, child-friendly meals and snacks for preschool children.
• Keep food items and supplies neatly stored and well organized.
• Deliver meals to classrooms so children are ready for learning and play.
• Wash dishes and support a clean, orderly kitchen routine.
• Assist with additional duties such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys.
• Be comfortable with some lifting as part of the job.

Role Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must satisfy all state-specific preschool cook requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience in meal planning, preparation, and service, following USDA guidelines.
• Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification is preferred.
