About the division

This role sits within Abbott Ireland’s Diabetes Care division in Donegal Town. The site produces FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and sensors used in diabetes management, including the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.

Role summary

The Process Operator will handle direct operational tasks across materials movement and manufacturing to help ensure the site consistently delivers safe, effective products that satisfy customer expectations while remaining compliant. This position is on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Key duties

• Carry out data entry, inventory receipt and cycle count activities.
• Ensure materials are received and transferred accurately and within required timeframes to meet customer needs.
• Support improvements in environmental, health and safety performance across the plant.
• Operate production machinery and related equipment.
• Contribute to the preparation and updating of operating procedures.
• Complete computer-based data input tasks.

Education and experience

A second-level qualification is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is also expected.
