About the role

In this position, you will take ownership of procurement for assigned categories, making sure the business secures goods and services in a timely, efficient, and cost-conscious way to support retail real estate operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Create category-focused procurement plans and ensure they align with company priorities and procurement guidelines.
  • Work with the Procurement Director to shape the yearly procurement roadmap, including budget targets, KPIs, and category goals.
  • Study the market to source suitable suppliers, evaluate their strengths, and negotiate advantageous commercial terms.
  • Build and manage supplier partnerships through performance reviews, contract oversight, and handling issues or disagreements.
  • Make sure procurement activities follow internal policies, approved procedures, ethical standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand their needs and deliver procurement support on time and accurately.
  • Review spend information and market movements to find opportunities for savings, better value, and lower risk.
  • Prepare and maintain category-level procurement records such as contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Run the sourcing process from supplier shortlisting through award, ensuring fair competition and clear decision-making.
  • Support procurement colleagues, share best practices, and help strengthen the overall function.
  • Carry out additional duties and tasks as required by management.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required.
  • At least 6 years of procurement experience is needed, ideally in retail or real estate.
  • You should have strong working knowledge of procurement workflows, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven experience in building and executing effective procurement strategies is important.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are expected.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort using procurement systems and related tools is required.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written, is necessary.
  • Professional procurement certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are an advantage.
