Job description
Company Overview
Fox Corporation creates and distributes entertainment, news, sports, and television content through major brands such as FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations, and Tubi Media Group. The organization supports creators in developing content with cultural impact by combining creative thinking, operational discipline, and strategic execution.
About the Business
Supercast provides premium subscription infrastructure for leading podcasts and creators. The platform helps creators such as Huberman Lab, This American Life, Peter Attia, and My Favorite Murder build direct audience relationships and earn recurring revenue through exclusive content and community experiences.
After being acquired by Red Seat Ventures, a Fox Corp. company, Supercast is moving into a new phase of product investment and growth. The team is now exploring a wider set of tools for podcast-focused creators, along with new ways for them to engage and monetize their audiences.
Role Summary
This position is for Supercast’s first Product Manager, reporting directly to the CEO. The role will work across engineering, design, and creator-facing teams to build products used by thousands of creators and hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers. The goal is to help creators launch more quickly, convert more followers into members, and grow durable subscription businesses.
The company’s broader mission is to support the next generation of media businesses led by creators and to build the operating system for creator-led media companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product lifecycle with a strong focus on the early and late phases, including roadmap planning, problem discovery, launch coordination, communication, adoption, review, and iteration.
- Work closely with Engineering and Design, based in Toronto, to define priorities, release new functionality, and keep improving the experience for creators and subscribers.
- Speak frequently with creators and subscribers to learn how they use the product, where they face friction, and where new opportunities exist.
- Find ways to improve subscriber conversion, retention, and creator earnings through product changes and experimentation.
- Write clear product requirements and make sure teams stay aligned on objectives, timelines, and success measures.
- Use product analytics, creator input, and market research to shape decisions and rank what should be built next.
- Contribute to long-term product direction as the platform expands into mobile apps, livestreaming, community features, newsletters, and other tools that strengthen creator-audience relationships.
Challenges You Will Tackle
- Helping creators start and scale subscription businesses more quickly, especially those with strong audiences but limited experience in pricing, membership design, and launch planning.
- Increasing the share of fans who convert into paying subscribers.
- Using platform data and product insights from thousands of creators to identify patterns that drive success and help every creator perform better.
- Building tools that strengthen creator-audience relationships and reduce subscriber churn.
- Extending Supercast beyond subscriptions into a broader product suite for podcast-first creators, including mobile apps, livestreaming, community tools, and newsletters.
What You Need
- At least 3 years of experience building digital products as a Product Manager, preferably in SaaS, consumer platforms, media, or the creator economy.
- A strong customer-first mindset and a deep commitment to understanding creator and subscriber behavior.
- Sound product judgment with the ability to identify the few improvements that can make the biggest difference to creator success, conversion, or retention.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and turning scattered input from creators, internal teams, and data into a clear direction.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience partnering with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams to deliver shipped products.
- Strategic thinking about how product decisions affect conversion, retention, and long-term growth.
- A bias toward action, with a preference for shipping, learning, and iterating quickly.
- Genuine interest in the creator economy and the growth of creator-led media.
Preferred Background
Experience building products for creators, media organizations, or subscription-based businesses is especially valuable.
Success Measures
- Noticeable gains in creator launch outcomes, subscriber conversion, and subscriber retention.
- Regular delivery of product enhancements that increase creator revenue and strengthen audience relationships.
- Effective collaboration with Engineering, Design, and creator-facing teams to launch high-impact work.
- A clear, ambitious roadmap that balances immediate improvements with longer-term platform expansion.
Why This Role Stands Out
- You will directly influence how podcast creators build sustainable businesses with their audiences.
- You will work alongside some of the most influential voices in podcasting.
- The company is investing heavily in product after the Red Seat Ventures acquisition and expanding its creator-tooling vision.
- You will join a focused, ambitious team building what it believes will become the operating system for podcast-first creator businesses.
- Good ideas move quickly, and you will have real ownership over what gets built.
- The company operates remotely, with most of the team spread across North America; the main working window should overlap Pacific to Eastern Time.
