Job Overview
The Reference Standards Product Manager, within the USP Programs, Regions, Operations, and Strategy (PROpS) Division, is responsible for the lifecycle management of the Small Molecules, Complex Generics, and General Chapters reference standards portfolio. This role involves understanding industry trends, utilizing data-driven decision-making, and making customer-focused recommendations to drive portfolio growth. As an individual contributor, the Product Manager will implement projects and processes to support product decisions, develop prioritization and forecasting models, and optimize product performance. This highly collaborative position requires global interaction with Science, Operations, Sales, Regions, Pricing, Trade Compliance, and Marketing teams. The Product Manager will drive product strategy, lead cross-functional teams in planning product roadmaps, and oversee discount and promotion strategies to ensure the successful launch and growth of innovative, high-quality standards that advance USP's mission.

Responsibilities
- Conduct item forecasting, pricing, and margin analysis.
- Develop and present business cases with supporting rationale for new and existing products.
- Monitor industry and market trends, and gather competitive intelligence to inform product strategies.
- Lead pipeline prioritization efforts, ensuring alignment with segment value and organizational strategies.
- Collaborate with Industry Programs, Science, Operations, and other departments to facilitate new product launches.
- Support Industry Programs, Regional, and Sales staff with new product training and customer solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of forecasting processes and product performance against key metrics.
- Manage product mix and optimization, including the selection and discontinuation of products to enhance profitability.
- Identify new product opportunities based on customer needs, feedback, and strategic insights.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Regions to launch products and monitor feedback and adoption.
- Maintain and update product roadmaps to achieve targeted product pipeline and growth objectives.
