Join a long-term production position with a leading manufacturer and supplier of engineered concrete solutions used in major civil and infrastructure projects across Australia. The business produces precast concrete products for drainage, water, transport, and structural uses, with a focus on durability and performance in demanding environments.
Job details
- Pay rate: $36.27 per hour, plus penalties and a daily travel allowance
- Immediate commencement available
- Long-term opportunity with overtime available
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Location: South East Nanango, Queensland
What you will be doing
You will help verify the quality of fresh concrete produced on site, ensuring batches meet project specifications. The role involves hands-on testing, monitoring production output, and checking finished precast items for accuracy and finish.
- Collect samples and test fresh concrete against project requirements
- Carry out slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight checks on production batches
- Review batching logs, mix consistency, and production settings
- Inspect precast products for size accuracy, surface quality, and visible defects
- Document test outcomes, quality issues, and non-conformance records
Requirements
- Current driver’s licence and access to reliable transport
- Previous concrete testing experience preferred
- Background in QA/QC
- Good attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication ability
- Comfortable using computers
- Manufacturing or precast experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and maintain a careful, detail-focused approach
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
