Job description
Role Overview
The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of the company’s new build and A&A projects in Singapore. This includes guiding projects from design development and tendering all the way through execution, completion, and final handover to Operations or Leasing. The role covers both pre-construction and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the full project management process for new build and alteration-and-addition works, starting from design development through tendering, construction, completion, and handover.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, run tender exercises, and prepare regular financial and cost updates for management.
- Examine architectural, structural, and M&E drawings and works to confirm compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes, and authority requirements.
- Track project progress closely to ensure work stays within approved scope, timeline, quality standards, and budget.
- Work in coordination with internal teams and external parties such as management, landlords, contractors, consultants, and government agencies to deliver projects successfully.
- Lead weekly progress meetings with contractors and consultants to review performance, resolve issues, and maintain momentum.
- Present weekly status updates to management, including project milestones, risks, and matters needing decisions or approvals.
- Report to the Head of Project Department and support additional administrative or ad hoc assignments as needed.
Requirements
- A degree in Building Construction or a closely related field is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in project and design management.
- Good knowledge of local building regulations, codes, and approval procedures is essential.
- Experience working with developers will be considered an added advantage.
- A demonstrated history of delivering projects successfully, ideally from start to finish, is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and manage several priorities at once.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative in a dynamic work environment.
