Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex technical projects from initiation to completion. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and strong management skills to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meeting quality and business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic execution of multiple project portfolios by setting milestones, managing budgets, and coordinating resources across engineering, field operations, product, and business functions.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders and cross-functional teams, clarifying scope, dependencies, risks, and timelines critical for successful robotic deployment initiatives aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee go-to-market preparation, collaborating with product, operations, and customer success to guarantee deployment programs fulfill standards for performance, safety, and scalability.
• Monitor program metrics to assess progress, proactively identify and escalate risks, and deliver reports on status, finances, and return on investment to leadership and investors.
• Prepare strategic communications including executive updates, board presentations, and investor reports.
• Detect and resolve potential technical, operational, or commercial obstacles early to maintain project timelines.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related technical field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in project coordination, program support, or operations within a technical environment.
• Proven capability to convert high-level requirements into organized tasks and schedules.
• Strong communication skills, including experience working with engineering teams.
• Competence with project management software such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances or export control authorizations for defense-related projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace, or defense projects.
• Knowledge of government contracting practices including SBIR, SOWs, or deliverable-based agreements.
• Experience collaborating closely with technical leads to establish acceptance criteria and milestones.
• Previous involvement in a rapidly scaling startup environment.
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing projects related to rugged ground autonomy.

Compensation and Workplace Philosophy

The position offers a salary range from $130,000 to $200,000 annually, with the final offer reflecting individual experience, skills, certifications, and alignment with qualifications. The total compensation includes benefits, equity, and ample paid time off.

This is a fully onsite role based at FieldAI’s headquarters in Irvine, California. While we prioritize in-person collaboration as essential for solving complex challenges, flexible working hours are available to support work-life balance.
