Project Manager

About the Role

MatchBox Consulting Group is partnering with a prominent employee-owned general contractor in Alberta to find a Project Manager. This is a unique chance to lead a significant $20 million First Nations administration building project, guiding it from the initial design phases all the way through to completion. The project involves a 20,000 sq ft, architecturally distinctive office space that is already attracting attention and promises to be a career-defining opportunity. Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle, from preconstruction activities to final completion.
• Direct and coordinate the efforts of consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Lead all aspects of budgeting, scheduling, procurement processes, and cost control measures.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that the project's execution aligns with the design intent, budget constraints, and overall schedule.
• Uphold high standards for safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and foster strong client relationships.
• Provide mentorship to Project Coordinators and actively participate in team development.

Qualifications

• Must possess a background specifically with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience in ICI base-building projects is essential.
• Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive Project Management experience.
• A track record of stability and consistent employment tenure.
• Experience with Construction Management delivery methods.
• A CET designation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit software.
• Experience with both public and private sector projects.
• Must be based in Alberta or willing to relocate.
