Overview

McGraw Hill develops modern learning platforms and educational content used by learners and educators from kindergarten through graduate school. The organization focuses on helping students succeed by providing intuitive tools that support teachers and improve learning outcomes, all within a collaborative environment that encourages career growth.

The company is hiring a Project Manager to work closely with district leadership, school administrators, and teachers to support successful adoption and implementation of its programs. This role provides broad support to administrators, educators, and students, including instructional guidance for whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings. The position is split between district locations and the employee’s home office.

This opportunity is a hybrid role open only to candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Applicants must live in California and be able to travel up to 75% of the time. It is a Project Status Worker role with an end date of 7/31/2027.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning conversations around goals, run site-level implementation meetings, and recommend implementation models that support strong program adoption and long-term district success.
  • Coordinate district-wide program launches, making sure all rollout activities stay aligned with district expectations, timelines, and objectives.
  • Visit sites, classrooms, and grade-level teams to observe implementation, identify improvement opportunities, and provide focused support.
  • Maintain regular communication with district and school stakeholders to keep progress transparent, engagement high, and execution consistent.
  • Organize professional learning schedules, including deliverable-based sessions, and help ensure those learning experiences are delivered successfully.
  • Advise on effective instructional practices, facilitate PLCs and lesson planning, and build curriculum alignments and standards-based frameworks.
  • Demonstrate data-informed instruction and small-group strategies, provide coaching and classroom modeling, and prepare lesson models for special education, RTI, and English learners.
  • Oversee the project portfolio, conduct quarterly data reviews, create customized reports, and help identify gaps to support continuous improvement.
  • Study educational data to support subgroup initiatives and coach leaders on using dashboard data for decision-making.
  • Support administrator onboarding, carry out site walkthroughs and needs analyses, build accountability trackers, share motivation and incentive strategies, host thought-leadership forums, and assist with community and family engagement.
  • Work closely with internal teams and cross-functional partners to strengthen account relationships and deliver successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related area.
  • Background in program implementation, instructional coaching, professional learning, and school or district improvement work.
  • Experience leading professional development and coaching teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum alignment, standards frameworks, instructional best practices, and data-based decision-making.
  • Experience reviewing education data and preparing reports that support instructional planning and student achievement.
  • Excellent organization and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage project portfolios, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with school and district stakeholders to support successful rollout and adoption of education programs.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Working knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and perform well in a fast-paced setting.
  • Prior work supporting Special Education, RTI, English learners, and other diverse learner groups is preferred.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, organized, and driven to help others succeed.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Perks

  • Work that contributes to meaningful improvements in education.
  • Opportunity to help shape next-generation learning content and tools.
  • Supportive, collaborative workplace with room for career growth.
