Job description
Role overview
The QC Inspector will support quality control activities within cell operations, with a focus on inspection work during the repair of gas turbine components. The position builds hands-on expertise across incoming checks, in-process verification, and final inspection, while also developing the ability to prepare technical reports on job conditions and defects found during operations.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out incoming and final inspections on gas turbine parts to spot defects and nonconformities.
- Review, measure, and assess findings against the relevant codes, standards, and technical specifications.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and quality standards on the shop floor, while actively supporting EHS, quality, and compliance efforts.
Qualifications and requirements
- Technical diploma along with relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of EHS and quality practices used in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and QMS procedures.
- Capability to prepare clear technical reports.
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
Preferred profile
- Strong understanding of quality, safety, shop computer systems, and shop support processes.
- At least 5 years of quality inspection experience.
- Comfortable reading drawings and REIs, and using measuring tools such as calipers and dial indicators.
- NDT certification is preferred.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
