The role contributes to continuous improvement by spotting waste, reinforcing standard work, improving flow, and supporting better operational performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Check final reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable quality rules.
  • Flag quality issues quickly and escalate matters that could affect product quality, process compliance, or customer expectations.
  • Raise and support NCR activity when nonconforming product or process conditions need to be recorded and controlled.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for repeated or significant quality problems.
  • Help maintain quality control by ensuring inspection discipline, process adherence, and compliance with quality standards across the line.
  • Interpret work instructions, quality forms, technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings to complete inspections correctly.
  • Document inspection results, quality observations, and related records accurately.
  • Use gauges, measuring instruments, inspection tools, and similar equipment safely and properly.
  • Recognize nonconforming conditions and support containment, documentation, escalation, and follow-up actions.
  • Follow Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets to maintain consistency, quality, safety, and smooth line flow.
  • Keep the workspace clean, safe, and orderly in line with 5S expectations.
  • Apply Lean thinking in daily activities and support Lean implementation on the shop floor.
  • Take part in problem solving, RCA, and corrective action work to resolve quality or process issues.
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, cycle time, flow, and waste reduction.
  • Support improvements in standard work, line organization, visual control, and process discipline.
  • Contribute to team efforts that improve line output, operational efficiency, and overall shop productivity.
  • Work within takt time, cycle time, and standard process flow requirements to help achieve production targets.
  • Use shop-floor systems and interfaces such as ELM, SmartShop, and MyAndon as required.
  • Follow company quality policies, safety rules, applicable procedures, and standard work.

Requirements

  • A diploma, technical college qualification, or equivalent practical experience is required.
