Role overview
This position focuses on matching people with the right opportunities, supporting their career growth, and connecting their capabilities with client needs. The recruiter manages the end-to-end hiring process and works to deliver a positive experience for candidates, associates, and clients.
Key responsibilities
- Source, screen, place, and support a diverse pool of candidates and professionals.
- Spot barriers in client delivery and work with the right partners to resolve them early.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers on current accounts to create future and expanded business opportunities.
- Learn the local labor market and share insights to help others understand workforce dynamics in the area.
- Support sales efforts by uncovering new business opportunities, introducing strong talent to new clients, and engaging high-demand customers.
- Keep candidate information accurate and current in the ATS or recruitment database.
- Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and define hiring plans.
- Maintain alignment with internal stakeholders on priorities and hiring timelines.
- Stay current on recruiting trends, best practices, and legal requirements tied to staffing and hiring.
- Find and attract candidates through job postings, social platforms, networking, referrals, outreach, and events.
- Review resumes and applications to shortlist qualified applicants.
- Conduct first-round phone screens and interviews to evaluate skills, experience, and fit.
- Arrange interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Guide candidates through the hiring process, including interview preparation and feedback after interviews.
- Connect with community partners, attend local networking events, host job fairs, and support recruitment events in the market.
- Make weekly client visits and onsite check-ins for high-volume clients.
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in recruiting, customer service, or sales.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work with an applicant tracking system or recruitment platform is preferred.
- Exposure to tools such as Taleo, Avature, JobApp, or Bullhorn is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working in a role that involves client visits, onsite check-ins, and market-facing recruitment activities.
