Role overview

This position is for a meticulous and insight-driven Research Analyst who will carry out market, industry, and business research to support planning and decision-making. The role involves collecting, examining, and interpreting information from multiple sources and translating it into clear recommendations for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Run research on markets, industries, competitors, and businesses using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
  • Collect information from varied sources, analyze it, and identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  • Build research outputs such as reports, presentations, dashboards, and strategic recommendations.
  • Track market movements, economic signals, and relevant industry updates.
  • Contribute research support for business planning, investment evaluation, and strategic projects.
  • Create surveys, questionnaires, and research structures when needed.
  • Work with internal teams to clarify research goals and business requirements.
  • Share findings and insights with management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain research repositories, databases, and reporting systems.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality research within required timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, or a similar discipline.
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience in market research, business analysis, data analysis, consulting, or a related area.
  • Strong ability to analyze information, think critically, and solve problems.
  • Hands-on experience with research methods, data gathering, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with data visualization tools.
  • Ability to understand complex data and explain findings in a clear manner.
  • Good report writing and presentation capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing several projects and deadlines at the same time.

Preferred background

  • Prior exposure to research firms, consulting organizations, financial services, technology companies, or corporate strategy teams.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Working knowledge of analytical or statistical tools such as SPSS, R, Python, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with industry benchmarking, competitor review, and market forecasting.
  • Any experience with regional or international research projects will be considered an advantage.
