Role overview
This position is an entry-level weekend and holiday onsite role based in Greenville, Mississippi. The Resident Manager supports the treatment program by keeping daily operations organized, monitoring residents, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support the treatment program so it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Answer incoming calls politely and respectfully, and record the time, date, and nature of each call in the log.
- Remain awake and attentive throughout the shift.
- Complete a resident headcount at least once every hour and note it in the log.
- Inform the program director or counselor if a client runs away, is discharged for inappropriate conduct, or is involved in a situation beyond the Resident Manager’s authority.
- Record shift events, activities, issues, and any incident that meets the Department of Mental Health definition of a Serious Incident.
- Apply house rules professionally and consistently.
- Carry out fire and evacuation drills when requested by the program director.
- Observe and document residents’ self-administration of medication as instructed.
- Protect the safety and wellbeing of all clients at all times.
- Treat clients, families, staff, volunteers, visitors, agencies, and the public with dignity, respect, and courtesy.
- Follow Department of Mental Health standards, Division of Medicaid standards, and all relevant Life Help policies and management directions.
- Safeguard confidentiality and avoid gossip or disclosure of sensitive information.
- Take part in all required training for the role and the agency.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by a supervisor, manager, or coordinator.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Mississippi driver’s license.
- Ability to lead others effectively and stay organized.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively with team members.
- Willingness to work in environments where exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and emotionally upset or hostile individuals may occur, including TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis.
