Assessment and privacy notice
For some sales advisor roles, H&M may use an optional online skills assessment called Maki. The assessment uses an AI-created avatar to present multiple-choice questions prepared by the hiring team. It is not automated decision-making, and the hiring team reviews the full application, including assessment results, when deciding next steps. If a candidate prefers another assessment method, they can request one by contacting recruitment support. Choosing an alternative method will not affect consideration for the role.
Assessment responses are saved in the applicant profile and used to evaluate suitability for the job. H&M says it does not sell the information collected and does not use personal data to train AI models. Its applicant tracking provider can access the information but cannot use it for other purposes. Cookie-based data such as IP address, timestamps, and device identifiers may also be collected with consent. The company retains this information for 3 years in the applicant file and refers candidates to its Cookie Notice and Applicant Privacy Notice for more details.
