Job description
About the Company
Roboyo AI is a leader in Applied AI and Agentic Automation, helping major organizations move beyond experiments and one-off automation efforts into secure, production-ready systems that drive real work across workflows, products, services, and processes. The company’s background is in enterprise-scale automation, and its focus now includes autonomous agents, AI engineering teams, process orchestration, data and knowledge foundations, and governance with human oversight built into client operations. The goal is to deliver practical AI systems, measurable business outcomes, and repeatable transformation programs rather than presentation-only AI.
Role Overview
Roboyo is hiring a Sales Representative (BDR) to support its APAC team in Brisbane, Queensland. This role is suited to someone who enjoys starting new business conversations, building relationships, and helping prospects understand how AI and automation can solve real business problems. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients and will work closely with sales leaders, solution experts, and account managers as opportunities move forward.
This position is based in Brisbane and requires working in person 2 to 3 days each week. Applicants must already be based in Australia and legally allowed to work there, as visa sponsorship is not available.
What You’ll Do
- Drive outbound prospecting, generate leads, and identify qualified opportunities.
- Create outreach strategies and carry out business development conversations by phone, email, LinkedIn, events, and targeted campaigns.
- Keep leads, contacts, and opportunities moving through the pipeline with timely follow-ups, calls, and meetings.
- Present Roboyo’s AI and automation services to prospects and help uncover needs alongside sales managers and subject matter experts.
- Assist with workshops, networking activities, and virtual training sessions that build awareness and generate interest.
- Contribute to sales planning across time periods, industry segments, regions, and offerings.
- Help build pipeline and revenue by creating well-qualified opportunities.
- Share useful insights, methods, and opportunities from your own experience with the wider team.
- Keep up to date with APAC market movements, economic trends, regulations, industry changes, and competitor activity.
Candidate Profile
The ideal person will be comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders, curious about technology, and motivated by results. Roboyo is looking for someone who can build trust quickly, manage multiple conversations at once, and approach prospects with a consultative mindset.
Requirements
- Experience speaking with senior leaders or executives, or confidence in doing so.
- Exposure to prospecting or selling technology products or services.
- Ability to create opportunities through steady outbound activity across email, phone, LinkedIn, and events.
- Comfort using prospecting and CRM tools.
- Strong interest in AI, automation, and practical business use cases for technology.
- Good communication and time management skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly.
- Analytical, curious, and able to connect business challenges with possible solutions.
- Persistent and organized in managing stakeholders and progressing discussions toward discovery calls.
- Experience in digital or technology environments is an advantage.
- Team-oriented, positive, and collaborative when working with sales and delivery teams.
Ideal Background
- Based in Brisbane or willing to relocate to the Brisbane area.
- Recent graduate or soon-to-graduate candidate interested in a career in technology consulting and sales.
- Some exposure to, or experience in, a B2B solution-selling role.
- Background in team sports or collaborative environments that required strong teamwork and support for shared goals.
- Experience in customer-facing roles such as recruitment, fundraising, customer support, hospitality, or similar transferable environments.
What’s Offered
- A competitive and rewarding compensation package.
- Mobile phone provided.
- Recognition for both personal and team achievements.
- Flexible hybrid working arrangement.
- Employee referral program.
- Opportunity to join a market-leading company in a fast-growing industry focused on AI and automation.
- Tailored development plan with career coaching.
- Regular feedback and openness to new ideas.
