Role overview
Affirmed Home Care is hiring a Scheduling Coordinator to support a growing home care operation covering New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. This is a full-time remote position with an immediate start, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role offers annual pay of $40,000 to $50,000 along with benefits.
The organization is a New York City-based private-pay concierge home care agency that is expanding quickly. This position is well suited to someone with experience in home care, healthcare staffing, or caregiver scheduling who can keep pace in a busy, high-priority environment where accurate coordination has a direct impact on patient care and day-to-day operations.
Core responsibilities
- Manage scheduling for HHAs, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs in a busy home care environment.
- Make sure patient assignments are fully covered at all times.
- Respond quickly to call-outs and urgent coverage gaps.
- Pair caregivers with clients based on qualifications, availability, and care needs.
- Keep communication clear and ongoing with caregivers, clients, and internal staff.
- Update and maintain accurate schedules in the organization’s scheduling systems.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in home care, healthcare staffing, or scheduling coordination.
- Background in arranging schedules for HHAs, CNAs, LPNs, or RNs.
- Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks, solve problems, and communicate effectively.
- Experience using scheduling software; knowledge of AlayaCare is especially valuable.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to stay organized and work well in a fast-moving setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma is required.
- An associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
