Role overview

Tastebuds Gifts is seeking a motivated SEO Manager to join its Sri Lanka-based team in a remote capacity. This is a high-responsibility role with an Australia-based eCommerce business, suited to someone dependable, proactive, and ready to contribute in a fast-moving environment.

The position offers the chance to support a growing digital brand and influence search visibility, content performance, and campaign outcomes across major search engines.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and refine SEO campaigns, keywords, and strategy to respond to market shifts and competition, with the goal of improving Google and Bing rankings in line with senior leadership direction.
  • Develop and maintain SEO content, then track performance using SEO platforms and related tools.
  • Use SEMrush, Ahrefs, and other established SEO tools in day-to-day work.
  • Build content that is highly engaging and aligned with SEO objectives.
  • Carry out technical SEO audits and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate content initiatives with brand and marketing teams.
  • Prepare detailed reports to monitor ranking movement and keep campaign reporting current.
  • Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and strategic planning to improve content performance.
  • Work alongside paid media teams to strengthen overall campaign results and ROI.

Required experience and capabilities

  • Hands-on experience executing strategic SEO campaigns for Google and Bing.
  • Background in eCommerce SEO, including Shopify-based campaigns.
  • Ability to write SEO-focused copy while staying consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Experience setting up, optimizing, and maintaining campaigns while protecting brand quality.
  • Demonstrated success in managing KPIs, monitoring ROI, tracking rankings, and producing detailed reports.
  • Current knowledge of Google and Bing algorithm changes and best practices.
  • Prior employment or strong internship experience in a similar position, typically 2 to 3 years.
  • Agency experience in marketing, web design, or web development environments, typically 2 to 3 years.
  • Advanced Google Analytics certification.
  • Ability to deliver solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Strong multitasking skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Good general understanding of marketing principles.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
