Shift Lead

Role Overview

This full-time Shift Lead position is based onsite in Calhoun, Georgia. In the absence of store management, the role supports day-to-day store opening and closing, cash handling, customer service, operations, and team coordination to keep the location running smoothly.

Key Duties

• Open and close the store when management is not present, including system start-up checks, cash-handling steps, floor readiness, stockroom readiness, and opening the back door for deliveries.
• Handle product returns, voided transactions, customer reimbursements, safe cash drops, and change requests for registers.
• Deliver a strong customer experience and demonstrate service standards consistently.
• Welcome customers and patients, respond to questions, and help resolve concerns to create a positive visit.
• Coach team members on service behaviors and customer-care habits that reflect the company’s service expectations.
• Maintain authority over store keys and use them to secure the store as needed.
• Support warehouse and vendor receiving activities, including helping with ordering, reviewing, receipt processing, and backdoor access for deliveries.
• Process register sales accurately, including scan errors, price checks, items not on file, price adjustments, and voids.
• Help management review order exceptions, handle reverse logistics, and process returns and empty-package issues.
• Assist with merchandising, including promotional, seasonal, display, and sale setups, as well as resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts across departments, stockroom areas, and overstock locations.
• Support the outdate program and related compliance tasks.
• Make daily price changes, place correct signage, and complete pricing tasks required by local rules and compliance programs.
• Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payments when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, organized store environment and request repairs when needed in management’s absence.
• Support proper product placement, food separation, stock rotation, and restocking using first-in, first-out practices.
• Use store systems and equipment with working knowledge of standard operations.
• Provide assistance at the pharmacy pick-up window when requested.
• Ensure compliance with laws related to regulated items such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Conduct bag checks for team members before they leave the store.
• Follow company policies and maintain respectful working relationships.
• Take on special projects and other assigned duties as needed.
• Act as the communication link between management and non-management staff when leadership is not present.
• Escalate disciplinary matters and customer complaints to management.

Training and Development

• Attend required training sessions and complete assigned learning modules.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key-holder experience is required.
• Strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills are required, except in Puerto Rico.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
• Applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
• A valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license must be obtained and maintained if required by state law.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $17 to $20 per hour.
