Role overview
As a Shift Leader, you’ll play a key part in keeping the restaurant running smoothly while helping bring the company’s mission to life. You’ll support management in delivering great food, warm service, and an atmosphere that feels welcoming and well cared for.

Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Some high school education is required.
- Prior operations experience is preferred.
Food safety and other requirements
Any local or municipal food safety requirements, including Food Handler certification, must be obtained by the applicant at their own cost.
Work environment and physical demands
This role is based in a busy restaurant setting where counter spaces may be hot from steam tables and food vapors. The work area is tight, employees are expected to stay on their feet for long periods, and the role involves preparing both hot and cold foods. You’ll also use Chinese cook knives and other kitchen tools, work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and handle a fast-moving environment with changing priorities. The position may require lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch counters to serve guests. Kitchens can be hot and noisy, storage is limited, and shelving is high. Strong verbal communication, adaptability, and the ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations are important.
