Role overview

Based in Darwin, this full-time Storesperson position sits within dnata catering & retail’s inflight catering operation. The role focuses on receiving warehouse deliveries, handling stock efficiently, and supporting the catering team with the correct goods at the right time.

You will report to the Purchasing Officer and help ensure that inbound products and materials are accepted, checked, stored, and distributed in line with operational needs. Items may include fresh produce, frozen and dry goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, equipment, and stationery.

Key duties

• Log and acknowledge all incoming deliveries accurately.
• Make sure the catering team has the required items in the right quantities and by the needed time.
• Check that delivered goods meet hygiene and specification standards.
• Maintain stock rotation and availability where needed.
• Organise store inventory efficiently so there is sufficient room for incoming stock.
• Follow company requirements for HACCP, QSAI, and WHS, as well as applicable federal and state regulations.
• Label perishable products using the correct colour coding and acceptance date stamping.
• Identify likely issues early and take action to reduce or prevent operational disruption.
• Support KPI-based supplier and stakeholder relationships that encourage continuous process and service improvement.

Requirements and suitability

To be effective in this role, you should have prior experience in stores or a similar warehousing position. A valid forklift licence and work at heights licence are mandatory. You should also have a solid working knowledge of workplace health and safety, warehousing and storage practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office ability.

Strong organisation skills are important, and a basic understanding of Halal procedures would be an advantage. As this role operates within aviation services, you will need to pass a clear National Police Check. Full-time availability for 38 hours per week is required.
