Job Purpose
The Officer - Security role is meant to carry out day-to-day security functions in line with the overall security strategy. The position supports risk evaluation, helps put mitigation measures into action, conducts patrols, manages access control, and contributes to safeguarding assets and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of daily security activities in accordance with the site and business security goals, and share operational inputs that strengthen the overall strategy.
- Help implement the operating framework and standard operating procedures so that security tasks are performed consistently and correctly.
- Take part in patrol duties and CCTV-based monitoring of the premises, while recording observations and maintaining strong situational awareness.
- Assist in managing access control operations and escalate any process deviations to the security leadership team.
- Help administer visitor access cards and ensure entry and exit procedures remain secure and efficient.
- Support oversight of business traffic movement, including checks for vehicle and cargo authorization, and use tools such as GPS and RFID tagging where required.
- Respond as a support resource during crises, emergencies, and incidents by following response plans and handling exceptions appropriately.
- Stay updated on digital tools and AI developments that can help improve business performance and competitiveness.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Officer Security, security staff, and other zonal teams.
External: Law enforcement agencies and security vendors.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a related discipline is required.
Experience
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in security operations, specifically in access control, patrol management, and emergency response.
