Testing Technician

Role Overview

Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage division in Dammam, Saudi Arabia is looking for a Testing Technician to support end-to-end testing work for capacitor banks. The role focuses on making sure each product and system is validated against the required standards while maintaining a strong balance of safety, quality, efficiency, and output.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out high-voltage testing tasks based on approved instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order information.
• Follow the documented procedures and protocols that govern each testing activity.
• Observe all safety rules and workplace regulations without exception.
• Use lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, waste reduction, and Kaizen in daily work.
• Log safety risks in the Intelex system and record quality non-conformities in SAP/MES as NCRs.
• Interpret high-voltage drawings accurately.
• Complete mandatory training, including safety and Lean Six Sigma White Belt training when assigned.
• Work closely with teammates and communicate effectively across functions.
• Take on any additional duties from management that are needed to meet job requirements.
• Act in line with the company’s values of safety and integrity by taking accountability for personal actions and supporting colleagues and the business.

Required Background

The position calls for a diploma in Electrical Engineering and 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar environment. Candidates should have a solid grasp of electrical symbols as well as schematic and mechanical drawings. Strong spoken and written communication skills are important, along with the ability to work professionally with people from different backgrounds. Fluency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
