About the Role
Join Verizon’s team as an Experience Designer in Dublin, where you’ll help shape user experiences that are useful, intuitive, and aligned with business goals. In this role, you’ll handle meaningful design challenges, own selected features or programs, and work closely with senior colleagues. You’ll also be encouraged to use emerging AI capabilities to improve design workflows and the products being built.
What You’ll Do
- Identify the right design problems and opportunities within a given brief.
- Work with others to solve ambiguous challenges while taking responsibility for specific user journeys or features with moderate support.
- Develop several strong design directions and contribute actively to cross-functional collaboration.
- Use generative AI and AI-enabled design tools to speed up ideation, prototyping, asset creation, and iterative improvements.
- Create clear, easy-to-use interfaces that deliver meaningful value to users.
- Refine, document, and validate design solutions while following established design system standards.
- Take part in gathering and analysing user insights to inform practical design decisions.
- Design with AI-related interactions in mind, including trust, feedback mechanisms, and handling error scenarios.
- Offer and receive constructive critique within the design team.
- Communicate project direction, goals, and expected outcomes in a clear way.
- Build effective working relationships with product, engineering, and business partners.
What the Role Requires
- A bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a closely related discipline.
- Prior experience working in UX design.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your UX process and interaction design abilities.
- Experience with high-fidelity prototyping and user testing methods.
- Solid grounding in user-centred design principles.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Figma AI features to support ideation, design work, or workflow efficiency.
Preferred Background
- A master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related subject.
- Understanding of UX research approaches.
- A portfolio that includes professional shipped work, products, or features.
- Experience creating AI-native experiences, chatbots, conversational interfaces, or generative AI products.
- Ability to craft effective prompts for generating design concepts or assets.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. You’ll split your time between home and the office, with office days determined by your manager.
Employment Details
This is a full-time role with a standard weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
