Where you'll work

Job description

About the role

WeTransfer, now part of Bending Spoons, sits within a group of digital products focused on innovation, operational discipline, and strong execution. By applying for this role through the WeTransfer brand, you may join the broader Bending Spoons organization and contribute either to WeTransfer itself or to another product in the portfolio. The environment is collaborative, high-performing, and built for people who want to have measurable impact.

Bending Spoons aims to build a company of exceptional scale, effectiveness, and long-term value creation while maintaining high ethical standards. Its operating model combines acquiring businesses with untapped potential, improving them through a shared platform of technology, data, talent, brand, and culture, and then reinvesting into further growth. AI is deeply embedded into how the company works, with human judgment and machine intelligence designed to strengthen one another.

This role is intended for a talented, highly driven, and team-oriented person who wants to learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and grow fast in a demanding setting.

What you'll do

  • Create high-impact product experiences by designing strong UX and polished UI from early exploration through final delivery, using modern tools to move quickly and maintain a high quality standard.
  • Begin work with AI assistance by using LLMs to sharpen the problem, draft concise specs, and identify risks, edge cases, and possible approaches before moving into design software.
  • Use AI-enabled tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to turn rough ideas into interactive prototypes and production-ready frontend code, switching between coding and Figma as the work demands.
  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers from the outset, define UX needs early, stay involved through QA and release, and make design choices that account for implementation realities.
  • Test and validate decisions by speaking directly with customers, running quick experiments, and using product metrics such as funnels, retention, and adoption to refine what gets shipped.
  • Spot the most valuable opportunities in the backlog, align stakeholders around them, and move efficiently to deliver improvements that create business value.

What we're looking for

  • Strong analytical reasoning and structured thinking, with the ability to solve complex problems from first principles and focus on the details that truly matter.
  • High drive and ambition, paired with initiative, persistence, ownership, and consistently strong personal standards.
  • A team-first mindset, including willingness to support others, value the best idea over personal preference, and work transparently and reliably.
  • Professional fluency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.

What we offer

  • Small, autonomous, and highly capable teams where you work with exceptionally talented people.
  • Strong growth potential, with opportunities to take on major responsibility early and contribute to high-value products.
  • Competitive compensation along with access to company equity for permanent roles.
  • Flexible working hours, remote work options, unlimited support for learning and training, premium health insurance, relocation assistance, generous parental support, and an annual retreat to a scenic destination.
  • If relocating to Italy, a 50% tax cut may be available.

Commitment and contract

This position is full-time and may be offered as either permanent or fixed-term.

Location

Possible work locations include Milan, London, Madrid, Warsaw, or remote work from selected approved countries. The company recommends spending the first few months working from the Milan office to ramp up faster and build relationships, with travel and accommodation support provided. After that, work can continue from Milan or London offices, or remotely from approved countries, depending on the offer-stage agreement.

Selection process

Applications are evaluated on verifiable evidence of excellence, regardless of seniority or background. All candidates go through the same screening path. If shortlisted, you may be asked to complete one or more challenging tests that can take several hours and may involve unfamiliar problems. The company does not use alternate or preferential routes for selection.

Additional information

If you are interested but feel your CV is not perfect or your experience is limited, you are still encouraged not to rule yourself out.

If you have applied before and were not selected, it is recommended that you wait at least one year before applying again.

The company is highly demanding and expects significant commitment, but it also offers substantial learning, achievement, and career growth in return.

Reasonable accommodations are available for applicants with disabilities.

All applications must be submitted through the company careers page to be considered.

The hiring process may remain open for a long time or be reposted multiple times because the company only extends an offer when it is confident it has found the right person.

If you are excited by the opportunity and ready to contribute your best, you are encouraged to apply.

Leave it if you'd like a reply — we won't use it for anything else.
