Job description
About the Role
Kids Unlimited Learning Academy is looking for a reliable van rider who is comfortable working with children, communicates well, and brings a warm, professional attitude to the role. This position is a good fit for someone who wants to contribute to a respected organization that supports young children and helps prepare them for fulfilling lives. The work is part of a patient-centered environment focused on care and support.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
About the Organization
Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) and Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) are early intervention day treatment clinics serving children with special needs. Children are referred by primary care physicians and go through developmental screening before therapy evaluations are scheduled. Families may also provide recent therapy evaluation reports completed elsewhere. To qualify for Early Intervention Day Treatment habilitation services, a child must have a documented developmental disability or delay shown through an annual comprehensive developmental evaluation and must qualify for at least one therapy service.
Services may support needs such as fine motor delays, sensory disorders, gross motor delays, speech and language delays, hearing disorders, feeding concerns, developmental delays, cognitive delays, and medical needs.
Children are assigned to treatment rooms according to age and developmental needs. These rooms are staffed with teachers and teacher assistants and are designed to reflect and respect the cultural differences of the children and families served. The team also includes licensed occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nurses to support children with therapy and medical needs.
The organization also offers developmental and psychological assessments by a licensed psychologist, nutritional evaluations and consultations, and audiological evaluations. Care teams work closely with families to meet each child’s needs.
MKSA/KULA generally serves children from birth through kindergarten, and expands services during the summer months to include elementary school-aged children with special needs.
Qualifications
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the applicant must be at least 21 years old. No previous experience is necessary.
Skills and Abilities
Successful candidates should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people, work effectively with children from birth to age 6 and families facing risk factors, stay organized, manage details accurately, and handle several tasks in a busy setting. Basic computer knowledge is needed, including familiarity with databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software. The job also requires the ability to read and understand simple instructions, letters, and memos; write simple correspondence; share information in one-on-one and small-group settings; perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; and apply sound judgment when following written or verbal instructions or resolving routine issues.
Equal Employment Opportunity
MKSA/KULA provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and does not allow discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
