Job description

About the company

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty was established in 2013 by British makeup artist and beauty founder Charlotte Tilbury MBE. Since then, the brand has reshaped how people approach makeup by making products and application simpler, more accessible, and easy to choose or gift. Over the past decade, the business has grown rapidly and has become a globally recognised beauty name, active across 50 markets and supported by more than 2,300 team members worldwide.

The company is built around fast growth, innovation, and a collaborative culture that values bold thinking, teamwork, and resilience. It continues to expand through retail, product launches, and technology-led initiatives, and is looking for people who want to contribute to a high-energy, ambitious environment.

About the role

The Visual Merchandising Assistant will join the EU North VM team and play a hands-on role in keeping visual merchandising work organised, efficient, and consistently executed across stores. The position combines administration, process support, creative coordination, supplier communication, and in-store VM execution across both campaign and permanent updates.

This is a varied, fast-moving role with involvement in tasks such as preparing and placing orders, creating artwork for updates, translating plates, managing suppliers, budgets, and timelines, and supporting installation, launch, and aftercare in stores. The role also includes leading on artworking and helping the team improve ways of working through clearer documentation and stronger processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain clear VM guidelines and working processes, while keeping documents and files current, easy to use, and helpful for cross-functional teams.
  • Handle day-to-day team administration, including raising purchase orders, tracking budgets, and managing props and stock.
  • Oversee permanent in-store VM standards so that displays remain accurate and aligned with expectations, with regular refreshes throughout the year roughly every four weeks.
  • Support frequent campaign VM changes in stores, covering items such as till units, hotspots, graphics, screens, and larger initiatives like window displays.
  • Contribute practical creative ideas that help solve problems and improve team effectiveness.
  • Create campaign guidance for stores and help ensure display standards stay high.
  • Carry out range reviews and analyse data with commercial and marketing partners to guide VM decisions and improve productivity.
  • Coordinate with suppliers across different projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
  • Own and keep up-to-date the VM guidance for both permanent and campaign activity, making it clear, practical, and easy for stores to follow.
  • Act as a VM specialist by sharing knowledge, delivering training, and helping store teams adopt best practices and stronger merchandising standards.
  • Visit stores regularly to understand the retail environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain strong communication with in-store teams.
  • Support new store openings by coordinating the VM materials needed for launch in collaboration with Store Design and Retail Operations.
  • Prepare artwork briefs for graphics and display units, adapting global VM direction to the requirements of EU North stores across Self Select and Department Store formats.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in visual merchandising.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and Outlook.
  • Hands-on capability with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • High attention to detail, along with strong communication and organisational ability.
  • Comfort with prioritising work and managing several tasks at once.
  • Background working with retailers.
  • Confidence in dealing with suppliers.
  • Willingness to travel for the role.
  • A flexible, proactive mindset suited to a busy, changing, and creative environment.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity positively and adapt quickly.
  • Enjoyment of challenge, whether meeting tight deadlines or leading project work.

Additional information

The company notes that the stated experience level is a guide rather than a strict rule. Applicants with more or less experience may still be considered if they can demonstrate the necessary skills.

Why join the team

  • Opportunity to be part of a values-led, fast-growing brand with a mission to help everyone be the best version of themselves.
  • Flexible hybrid working model.
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, along with an extra day off for your birthday.
  • Inclusive parental leave support for parents and carers.
  • Pension and life assurance for financial security.
  • Wellness and social support, including Medicash, employee assistance programmes, and regular team social activities.

  • Generous product discount and gifting.
