The Opportunity
An experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner is needed to join a multidisciplinary team in Coffs Harbour. The role is focused on delivering practical, person-centred support that improves day-to-day outcomes and community participation for people with complex needs.
Key Duties
- Carry out behavioural support assessments.
- Create detailed and high-quality Behaviour Support Plans.
- Implement evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
- Provide services in clinic, home, community and school settings.
- Work with children, adolescents and adults who have complex support requirements.
- Partner with families, carers, support coordinators and other relevant stakeholders.
- Help clients achieve outcomes that improve quality of life and participation in the community.
What You Need
- Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration at Core level or higher.
- Previous experience in a Behaviour Support Practitioner role or a closely related behavioural support position.
- Solid understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with assessments and Behaviour Support Plan development.
- Strong verbal and written communication, plus the ability to build productive relationships.
- Capability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- A calm, patient and solution-oriented approach.
- Commitment to supporting people with disability and their families.
