Role overview
The Distribution Analyst will support distribution leadership with analysis, reporting, point-of-sale data management, and day-to-day communication across the region. The role is centered on helping the Vice President of Distribution, regional teams, and Distributor Partner Managers make better decisions through accurate reporting and clear insights.
Strategic analysis and business planning
This position contributes to annual planning and forecasting by reviewing preliminary revenue and budget information for leadership review, supporting the planning cycle with roll-up analysis, plan-versus-actual gap checks, and progress updates. It also includes validating Distributor Partner reporting accuracy, supporting live annual business plans, analyzing distribution cost budgets, and managing point-of-sale data.
Standard reports and process support
The analyst will help maintain and improve standardized reporting and internal processes. Responsibilities include invoice validation, coordinating invoice clean-up with Distributor Partners, developing and maintaining repeatable reports, supporting continuous improvement efforts for standardized reporting tools, tracking results from phase 1 distributor management projects, and preparing execution and region reporting for leadership review.
Support for other functions
The role also provides analytical and reporting support to headquarters national accounts and other regional functions, including tier II key account management, marketing leadership, key account managers, on-premise teams, and Musketeers. The analyst will also manage the regional national account survey process.
Communication and coordination
Strong communication is a core part of the job. The analyst will work directly with Distributor Partner finance teams on invoicing, coordinate with the RBNA payment center, share weekly updates with the VPD, prepare material for monthly sales meetings, and track invoice payables aging and issue status.
Requirements and qualifications
Applicants should bring at least 2 years of experience in an analyst role within the consumer packaged goods industry. Experience building working relationships with finance leaders at Distributor Partners is important. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential, and familiarity with Circana data and analytics is preferred. The ideal candidate can turn data into practical business insight, has a sales-minded perspective, and understands how data connects to sales execution.
The role also calls for strong communication, excellent organization, familiarity with distributor structures and core distribution roles, and knowledge of the retail landscape across local, regional, and national accounts. Comfort working primarily from an office environment is expected, along with the ability to collaborate across RBNA, regional teams, and retailers. A working style that fits well with IT and technology-focused partners is beneficial. A high-level understanding of RBNA reporting systems and Circana is also valuable. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, although equivalent experience may be considered. English fluency is required, and additional language abilities are an advantage.
Compensation and benefits
The base pay range for this role is $72,000 to $108,000 per year, plus cash incentives.
