Python Developer with Linux Skills

Position Overview

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a prominent global IT services and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Python Developer based in Hyderabad. This role focuses on leveraging expertise in Python, Linux, and related technologies to build scalable and secure systems and APIs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in software development life cycles, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture, contributing to innovative solutions aligned with evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems and APIs using Python.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to provide architectural guidance and leadership, ensuring successful product delivery and operational excellence.
• Participate proactively in product release cycles and daily stand-ups, assisting with code reviews, design improvements, and other tactical activities.
• Create and demonstrate technical proofs of concept for new business requirements, focusing on scalable and long-term viable technologies.
• Promote a culture of innovation within an environment demanding high scalability, security, and reliability standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with key architects across various technology domains to advocate architectural standards and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong practical experience with Python programming is essential.
• Proficient in Unix Shell scripting for automation and system tasks.
• Solid understanding and hands-on use of code version control tools such as Git.
• Experience in developing applications using Python/Django framework is advantageous.
• Good grasp of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) concepts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of microservices design and implementation.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience or knowledge in Linux environments and container technologies like Docker is a plus.
• Understanding of responsive web design and related technologies.
• Strong ability to quickly learn and assess new technologies and align them with business challenges to devise effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

This position is based in Hyderabad and involves working onsite. Candidates are expected to have a proactive approach toward collaboration and continuous improvement in software architecture and delivery methodologies.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
