What the role involves

• Keep the yard arranged, tidy and efficient, with attention to workflow and overall cleanliness.
• Assist with moving equipment around the site as required.
• Follow and promote safe work methods at all times.
• Deal clearly and professionally with customers, drivers and transport contractors.
• Spot equipment or items that may need servicing, repair or further attention.
• Plan tasks effectively, handle changing priorities and use initiative when needed.
• Help maintain a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What you’ll need

You should already have experience in a similar setting and bring a forklift licence, a valid driver’s licence, and familiarity with working around mobile equipment. A current EWP licence is desirable. Experience in civil, mining or industrial environments is also desirable, along with prior work loading and unloading equipment. Strong knowledge of load restraint is important, as is a proactive focus on health and safety. A genuine interest in developing a stable, long-term career with Coates is also expected.
