Role overview
This opportunity is with a profitable, well-funded NYSE-listed freight matching platform that is expanding its global presence from Singapore. The business connects shippers and drivers using intelligent, large-scale, asset-light matching technology.
The compensation starts at SGD 10,000 per month and is negotiable based on experience and fit.
What you will do
- Take end-to-end ownership of the machine learning pipeline behind the platform’s core matching and transaction algorithms, including data preparation, feature creation, training, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Improve supply-demand matching systems, marketing models, and pricing approaches to strengthen platform performance over time.
- Work closely with product and business datasets to uncover weaknesses in current models, define enhancements, and push improvements into production.
- Track relevant research developments and adapt useful techniques to real-world commercial problems.
What we are looking for
- 2 to 5 years of experience in algorithm engineering, especially in search, recommendations, advertising, or matching systems.
- Solid machine learning fundamentals, including model architecture, training methods, and evaluation practices.
- Strong coding ability in Python, along with experience using common ML/DL libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Practical experience across the full model lifecycle, from data and feature work to deployment and A/B testing.
- Additional advantage if you have worked in causal inference, forecasting, spatio-temporal modeling, reinforcement learning, or operations research.
- Strong analytical thinking, good data intuition, and the ability to link algorithm improvements to business results.
- Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
