Role Overview
Our client is a fast-expanding industrial manufacturing business supporting customers in energy, infrastructure, construction, and industrial sectors throughout Qatar and the wider GCC. To support its commercial expansion plans, the organization is hiring a senior business development leader to grow market presence, build strategic alliances, and uncover new revenue channels.
Position Summary
The Business Development Director will shape and implement the company’s commercial growth approach across both established and new markets. This person will source fresh business opportunities, create and nurture strategic partnerships, manage high-value commercial discussions, and guide major account development across public and private sector clients. In close collaboration with the executive team, the Director will assess market potential, contribute to bid strategy, deepen long-term client relationships, and help drive the company’s strategic planning and revenue targets. The position holds overall accountability for pipeline growth, commercial outcomes, and market expansion efforts.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should bring substantial senior business development experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, energy, or similar B2B environments. A strong record of winning significant commercial contracts, building influential client relationships, and leading high-performing business development teams is required. Familiarity with the Qatari market, along with established connections among government bodies, major contractors, and industrial customers, would be a major advantage. The ideal candidate will have sound commercial judgement, strong negotiation ability, a polished executive style, and a consistent history of delivering durable business growth.
