Role overview
Meta’s Finance organization is in the middle of a major transformation, with a long-term plan centered on modernizing how the function works. The Modern Finance team supports this direction by driving innovation, improving productivity, and creating a better experience for employees. This role is for an experienced Program Manager who will lead strategic Finance initiatives from planning through delivery on the integrated transformation roadmap.
You will be part of a Modern Finance Cluster under a Cluster Lead and will deliver projects aligned to the Corporate Cluster. The role focuses on end-to-end execution of assigned projects, whether they stand alone or sit within a broader program. Success in this position requires strong delivery discipline, active collaboration with global stakeholders, change leadership, and smart use of technology to work efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Work independently, actively seek input when useful, and lead complex Finance programs and projects with cross-functional teams across regions.
- Prepare, own, and continuously update project documentation so that goals, scope, and deliverables remain clear and aligned with Modern Finance standards.
- Partner with functional teams and Planning & Partnership leads to carry out discovery work on initiatives.
- Spot risks early, put mitigation plans in place, and work with the business to remove blockers that could affect timing, budget, or outcomes.
- Review and improve underlying processes so they support the project objective, including process mapping, documentation updates, and related change needs.
- Assess change impact and build readiness, adoption, communication, and BAU plans into project plans; work with change specialists when broader change support is required.
- Identify the business roles and resources needed for implementation, address staffing constraints, and oversee resources assigned to the project.
- Maintain strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders through consistent communication, progress updates, and well-planned status reporting.
- Coordinate change management activities for stakeholders, users, and teams, using effective frameworks, toolkits, and communication methods to deliver adoption outcomes.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 10 years of project management experience, including leading complex and ambiguous work independently and proactively using established project management practices and standards.
- Ability to shape project structure, approach, governance, resourcing, and deliverables based on project needs.
- Proven strength in collaboration and relationship building with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Solid business acumen and the ability to support execution of Finance function strategies.
- Comfort using digital tools and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve execution, testing, requirements work, and reporting.
- Knowledge of process mapping and core Finance processes.
- High attention to detail in documentation and progress tracking.
- Strong learning agility and willingness to build knowledge in Finance and new technologies.
- Problem-solving ability and a practical approach to operational challenges.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Ongoing development of AI skills such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, with awareness of current AI tools and trends.
- PMI or an equivalent project management certification.
- PROSCI or an equivalent change management certification.
- Experience with Lean 6 Sigma or DMAIC methods for process improvement.
- Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk review, bias mitigation, and quality checks.
- Ability to use AI tools to redesign workflows, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable quality gains.
