Janitor

About the role

We are looking to fill a full-time Janitor position in Kingman, Arizona. The role supports a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment by carrying out routine and heavy-duty cleaning tasks in an education facility.

Work schedule

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with additional details to be shared during the interview. Online applications are accepted only.

Key duties

• Maintain cleanliness in assigned spaces through regular and deep-cleaning activities.
• Remove waste and follow approved disposal and infection-control procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors using the correct methods and materials.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for thorough cleaning, then return items to their proper place.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and follow the required eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and similar surfaces to keep the environment safe and tidy.
• Identify areas that need attention and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor and follow all applicable federal, state, and county rules.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets when required.
• Work cooperatively with the team and maintain a professional approach with customers and coworkers.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned.

Requirements

• Must be willing to train.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks, including moving items and handling floor-care equipment.
• Should be able to follow sanitation procedures and comply with relevant regulations.
• May be required to complete Florida Level 2 background screening for certain positions.

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this job is $15.15 to $16.00 per hour. The employer also offers training and growth opportunities, same-day pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.
