Role Summary
The Merchandiser for small stores is responsible for building product displays and keeping customer shelves, racks, and cold equipment stocked. The position is focused on maintaining product availability, presentation, and account standards across assigned outlets.
Responsibilities
- Protect and handle company and customer equipment and assets with care on a daily basis
- Restock and rotate beverages in customer locations, including displays, racks, and Coca-Cola and partner equipment
- Keep products orderly, backstock neat, and coolers and racks clean according to company standards
- Collect damaged or expired products, along with empty shells and pallets
- Share observations with leadership about competitor activity and business opportunities
- Coordinate with the Sales Supervisor and Delivery Driver to deliver the expected in-store execution
- Build strong customer relationships and provide attentive service
- Work effectively with other team members across functions
- Carry out other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license is required, along with continued compliance with fleet policy
- Reliable personal vehicle is required
- Must follow PPE requirements and UNITED safety rules
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Professional appearance must align with company standards
- Must be able to safeguard company assets
- Comfort using company-provided tools and technology
- High school diploma or GED required, or 3 to 6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Job involves frequent bending, kneeling, weather exposure, and noise exposure
- Must be able to work a flexible or rotating schedule
- Ability to address and resolve customer concerns
- Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision
- Ability to follow simple written instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to communicate information effectively in individual and small-group settings

- Previous merchandising experience is preferred
Physical Requirements
The position must follow the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Safety-toed shoes are required when operating powered industrial equipment, working near powered industrial equipment, doing fleet maintenance, handling palletized product, using hand trucks or dollies for deliveries, and performing cooler service tasks.
