About the role
This Wellington-based Document Controller role is central to a major infrastructure project. You will manage electronic document control systems and workflows, supporting accurate, compliant, and easy-to-access project information from start to finish.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will own the document control function, monitor system performance, refine procedures, and help project teams use the information management system effectively.
Key duties
- Administer the project’s electronic document control and information management system.
- Maintain document accuracy, version control, compliance, and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the day-to-day performance of the document control system and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Support project teams in using the system correctly and efficiently.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager and other stakeholders across the project.
Role requirements
- Demonstrated experience in document control or information management within a project setting.
- Practical experience with platforms such as Procore, Aconex, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or comparable systems.
- Strong planning and organisational ability, with confidence managing competing tasks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with varied teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially in Word.
